Hurricane Ike

Well Hurricane Ike came and went but not without taking a swipe at me. Nothing too serious but my in laws did end up at my house for a day. They are from Houston and decided to ride out the storm but when the room sprung several leaks they just headed up here. I lost power a little here and there but mostly just got a little rain.

I saw what happened to some of the southern cities, and what it is doing north of me. I can't believe how strong it is over the middle of the US.

If anyone was in the path of Hurricane or Tropical Storm Ike then please let me and everyone know how it was for you.

Finding cool content for my website

Well for the past two days I have been searching for some content that would automatically update on my website. I have found some really great things, but of course I am looking for some more. Right now I have bible verses, stories, devotionals, news, etc, but am looking for me. The nice thing is that I found them all for free. I am in the process of loading all that onto my site. I really like the fact that all the auto-updating stuff does not require me to work for it, but rather just to insert the code one time and then it changes for me.

Started working with Global Domains International (GDI)

So I started with Global Domains International (GDI) a few weeks ago. I have been looking for work at home things for some time but decided to try this one. It is my first work at home biz. So far it is good. I got everything set up and have my own customized website (built it with html and css over a weekend) and some links to some info on GDI.

Basically, if you don't know GDI sells websites, hosting, emails, website building tools, forwarding, parking, etc all in one package for $10 a month. In addition to that if you buy a website from them then you can also post a link on your site and have people click through that to get a website also. Unlike other sites that want you to post a link and may pay you a one time fee for clicks, this pays you 10% commission for life plus it is down to 5-levels. Pretty cool concept, especially since I am going to have a website whether I get paid to have it or not. I don't have any ads on my page because they don't clutter you with all that, just a straight forward site.
